Have I ever used the word Big? Or BBBIIIIGGGG! Today was big views from Oregon to Canada, big sun, big blue skies, almost big warm temps (got me down to baseball gloves for most of the day), big bumps getting bigger, still nice smooth screaming big PB runs, big soft mush runs on both sides of HC chair (had 8 ½ minute round trips during that burst of hamster activity), small early crowd but big crowds in places (CB lodge late morning had big lines waiting for big food) – soup was French Onion (actually pretty good, had two packages of Oyster crackers with out having to ask for them and 4 free packages of Parmesan cheese) plus they had another unadvertised soup that was something like Autumn something yellow Nut (looked good), there were more big rocks on top of HC (found a new path off the top that probably will get closed). Lots of soft spring snow on the front side from Showtime to Memorial Forest – even Sunnyside got sun impacted. No real lift lines on REX today and nobody on Northway or HC when I was in those areas. Long easy day but still made the CD minimum vert – exactly! Pay lot had typical bad parking management, B C D and E all pretty full. Great day, hopefully one more big one.

Happy New Year ddk.

Late start for me..no partying but 10 days of skinning and hiking has taken it's toll and I felt tired today.
All the regular Powder Clown Posse took a day off and it was down to Mr. Joedabaker and I to keep the powder streak alive.

We found it..... two great untracked lines, the last one with hoar frost feathers billowing around us and sparkling in the sunlight as we turned. The light was so beautiful as we skied the line between shadow and sun.

Snow was marvelous and skiing such high quality powder so long after the last snowfall is testament to the great cold weather we have had.

Skin out was a different matter and I bonked half way up the last one and had to sit down and have a power bar and a half eaten grilled cheese sandwich I found in my pack.

Almost looking forward to work and sitting down for a few days until it starts all over again.
