Well, it couldn't have been much better.........maybe if no one was there I guess.
A good 8+ inches of light fluff in P4 at 8:35 AM. Started loading 1 at 8:59 Am or so, my boy and I got on about that time,, and then the chair stopped, for seemingly a few more charges yet people were already skiing down. It was strange. But who cares.......LOL.
Actually was a good thing as most did not head to Chair 2 and when we arrived at the top of 1 they just started to load 2 and we had an easy 4 minute line the first time up.
Even better though was catching Snake Dance just as they opened the gate the first run down. Nothing but 1st tracks, I took the 3rd ramp and my boy, who likes bigger air then I, jumped in to the 2nd ramp. NICE!
Even better yet (there is a theme here....) was that low angle area above C3, best I have ever skied in 40 years (avg 70 days/year), seriously. So SMOOTH!!
The snow a lot and then settle last night was a great combi.
Then even better was catching the opening of E gate at about 1115 or so. Headed out left and caught a great run down GB trees. Thanks to the bro in the red coat that joined me and my son and then promptly saved my boy a 30 minute hike to retreive his ski after missing the landing off a big rock in the exit funnel of GB tees. It was funny. His third face plant that run. LOL.
Then we headed up for one more E gate and hit Billingtons and GB trees again.
Then tired. Man do I need to get in to better shape. LOL.

+1 to that. You pretty much summed up the TR I was going to write.
Although it was crowded, the snow was dry and light enough that it wasn't packing in much from the tracking; even by noon, the run-up to chair 2 could still be postholed. Getting E-gate early made for a memorable day on the lift-served season.

Locals said this morning was more crowded than the past weekend. It was great to have their guidance on where to find good leftovers all the way to closing. Nice to take a run with the Snow Trooper and his jumping juveniles, fun to watch and not even tempting to imitate for this geezer and his kind senior sitter.
