Pretty tough sad day – sad with no close friends to help pick the next run, sad day cause it was so big and sunny bright, sad with a little new to smooth things out in the core area, sad with screamer fast groomers (only did two of those today, for the first and last runs), sad to not be able to say “probably not” about heading out North – did two very nice runs, down Paradise gate 3 just as it opened and also Bruce’s Bowl (only two cause that is a slow cold ride), sad day to have to decide on which run was nest - Lower E/M-World/Sunnyside/Showtime/Door 1/Bearpits/PB/a lot of the slots in Campbell Basin (skier right of HC chair line very nice, someone did the rocks above the Eiffel tower today), sad day to have to look at big views till around 1:30 as the cloud band moved in – Olympics/Glacier/Rainier/Adams/Helens/Hood and everything in-between. Sad to have only one ride with anyone else on a lift today (last one), a couple of lonely Bucket rides. Did I say I really like my K2 AfterShocks – ouch again. Checked on the soup – double ouch, Roasted Tomato Ancho again! At least three times this week, not selling very fast. Was some heating on south facing slopes, might be a little crunchy tomorrow, PB should still be good if the vis is still there, probably shady slopes in GV also, but I never skied or rode that lift today. Pay lot was nice and small (and not full), some overflow into the front of C and B. Great day (for me and probably anyone on the mountain).
