Not exactly roughing it. Left Crystal Friday after a glorious foot of fresh to find a fresh foot waiting for me in Colorado. Rode the heated shuttle from our modest condo (I'm cheap. Not frugal) Strolled thru the base and ascended the covered escalator which delivered me to Starbucks for a morning coffee before joining the powder fest. Beaver Creek Marketing posted their version of the day. Al things considered a tasty couple of days. The amount of snowmaking is amazing. The Centennial from the base to upper mtn is almost entirely lined with snow guns, going 24-7. I keep telling myself we came for the sun and food not the snow. Lunch at Saddle Ridge was delightful. Coffee for only 6 bucks, with UNLIMITED refills and it's Starbucks Pike ! The 14.50 build your own salad bar was the bomb, quinoa, braised asparagus, Cesar and spinach too. It just goes on and on. Chili for just 14.50 add 2.95 for a bread bowl. Bring your American Express. A really nice touch was the complimentary Hersey Kiss at check out. Guess I did get kissed after getting screwed after all. BTW haven't seen the sun yet, the 2 degree temps were a bonus, kept the 1%ers huddled inside in their fur trimmed Bogners and the slopes uncrowded. Rode up with a Pro Patrol who gave 3 courtesy sled rides down this morning, no injury, just a ride for folks who didn't want to admit weakness and download. LMAO. More will be reviled in the next installment.

Hope they are handing out dentist cards as the Royal icing used to make those can be as soft as a knife pen ice layer!
