ery interesting day…big sunny early, almost warm riding HC…most of the top of everywhere was perfectly smooth and pretty awesome looking. First run down Sunnyside, was nice but also very enlightening. Firm layer under the new on top and less pleasant getting lower and lower….But it was a ski day, no crowds, poke around and find all the best of what we did. PB Bowl, GV Bowl, Grubstake (? How did that happen). All very repeatable. Lower down on the mountain and even up top on the wrong facing slopes not so good. Things seemed to improve during the day as some lower slopes froze a little harder. Had a lot of fun skiing probably what many would say was marginal conditions from M-World to the Doors…did I mention that I have some new skis that I like even more tonight that I did the other day! Today got greyer and colder, the crowd got smaller, Spouse #1 was really fired up all day so I got for me the first big vert day of the season…cant wait for tomorrow – I know where I’m gonna be. Heard SouthBack might have been challenging in places. Lifts seemed to work when we used them, but heard and noticed that chair 6 must have had a problem during the afternoon. Soup was Tomato Bisque, limited food in CB lodge, but real Chicken Noodle soup is coming – one of these days. Pay lot empty as usual, some overflow cars out of the A lot. Coverage on the upper mountain is pretty nice right now. Fun day - duh.
