Late report – How come nobody has posted anything yet? Just got back from overeating in the middle of a storm of my neighbors kids (lordy I’m old)….I’m not used to that anymore (if ever). Had a very nice day…maybe not a big day per a few comments I heard about yesterdays big comments….oh what the heck it was a big day again today, it was a big day number two. Kinda grey early, but it got brighter as the day went on. The new 4 to 6” was a pleasant bonus, made for some nice repeats of runs I did yesterday. The crowd looked “big” early, but it was actually less than yesterday. GVex still seemed slow today, so only did a couple of runs over there – Valley Bowl still one of the best areas, SnortElk bowl nice, Grubstake was sweet with nice angled sun light on it (would have done it a lot more if I had more time)…but HC was calling..did I say GV bowl was the best…PB was deep and better and smooth and nice and I could have repeated with more time. The rest of the story, I had pretty hurt quads for the first few runs today, but finally tried the Doors, Sunnyside and M-World, all great with the new snow and some winds blowing across to fill it in. Lucky for my quads I had to leave a little earlier than I would have liked based on conditions…some rocks, not really that bad…FQex runs looked nice from what I saw – except for the Park crew digging out all their features and the patrol digging out the picnic tables at Campbell Basin lodge…for the soup folks – no soup till Saturday at CB lodge, forgot to check the base when I left. Parking lots pretty similar to opening day, but maybe a few less cars. Great day (even if it really was not BIG).

ddk, you promised a detailed report of the new rotisserie chicken in the base lodge??

CM announced tonight via FB that only CEX and FQ open tomorrow due to expected rising FL and winds up high...no Gondola and no REX tomorrow!!!!

As usual, excellent report by ddk. Campbell lift barely ran for an hour, slowly and with long pauses. The condition in powder bowl was amazing tho.Ski patroller initially attributed stall to wind but admitted that it was running even worse than usual. Amazing that nothing was done to improve this over the summer. She also told me that another second hand lift is going in to replace another lift but I didn't get which.

Not true...they painted the lift and chairs.
I publicly stated that the paint job would solve all the problems..guess I was in error or err...

Glad I did not come back for Thanksgiving 2nds as I vowed to not chance another ride due to the traditional issues of 6.
I think 6 was placed on an Indian burial ground given its historical lack of fortune.

DDK...I thought yesterday was big...as in vertical. Man those conditions were awesome! Skied with a variety of skiers not the usual crew who casted the loser mark on me and ran off in their short skirts to skin for powder. First the young rippers Mrs Freebird and Freebird, then double teamed by Scotsman and PNWbrit's (Banned) wives for a couple early season lessons on 9, then finished up with the over 60 boys that just flat out rip! Frontside was as good as any groomed run. Almost made it bell to bell... gave up with 25 still on the clock. It sucks getting old..That would have never happened before

I've always wondered what it would be like to ski with Joe.....but I cant seem to keep up...or he is just standing around when I finally get to the bottom of a run - like at the bottom of PB on Tday.
