Nice today! Great coverage for light early season snow pak; a few bits of shrubbery here and there, nothing you can't get around. No rocks. Reasonably light powdered sugar, nice off piste turns. Weather Friday doesn't look great, but could be good on Sat. Brooks and Daisy open. Runs under Skyline were nice. Better than expected.

Excellent conditions indeed for Thanksgiving:  more fresh than predicted, with lower temps and fewer people than expected. There was even some sun.  I got alecapone to join me in Gold Bar, then we ran into shespiste and Dod and found uncut snow for run after run.  Nice to ride with Dave from Aspen too.  We brought touring gear, but stuck with getting rides up the hill for the first time in over 7 months    The last few years I have toured on the runs here before the lifts opened; yesterday had LESS snow than previous early Novembers but MORE of a base.
