Day started fairly nice, light crowd (only the first three buckets were somewhat full), overcast, cool, fog in places – but mostly good vis in the Valley and different areas on REX at different times, snow very soft and untracked and dirty. Had a number of fun runs – Grubstake worth repeats, Sunnyside and the middle Doors. Goodness lasted till around 10:30 when a light shower started – lasted almost an hour, spent part of that time under a tree watching snowboarders straight line the bare spots of dirt at the bottom of REX. Things improved mid day for another short period, which allowed for some great runs in Bearpits and the Doors again. Only lasted till around 1pm when the fog rolled in again and the precip looked to be starting up…so I called it a short day to do family chores. No soup report, A lot was not even close to full, no lift lines, brown spots are getting bigger on the slopes – which makes it interesting, some ski lines are done for this season, but there are still a lot of fun ones. Snow was pretty sticky slow today – might have to pick a different wax tonight for tomorrow.
