Express, OUCH! My Oh My. No lift lines to speak of. Big skiing everywhere – Saudan (Couloir Extreme), Pakalolo, Secret, all the bump runs dropping down to Jersey Cream lift (heard 7Th Heaven was very nice on Sunday also, never had time to get over there). Great snow coverage everywhere on the upper mountain and enough to allow a Gear Jammer big bump run all the way to the Village. Yee Haa, a great way to finish the day. Expected even more for Monday, but there was some high thin early morning overcast which kept things a little warmer and softer, but luckily the clouds blew away and the sun got nice and bright and warm. Crowd was even lighter, no weekend folks from Vancouver. Nice casual day. Did 7th Heaven, nice and soft early, massive gap jump built – looks like something we’ll see in next falls ski movies, it was impressive to stand next to it. Did Saudan again, still very nice, but a lot more challenging getting to – the big negative about weekdays at this point in the season is no Gondola from the Village (had to upload via the Wizard), no Glacier Express or T-bars running on the upper mountain, so sad. To get the big upper mountain lines you had to ride 7th, makes for a long cycle roundtrip. But lots of other great soft bump options off of Solar Coaster and via Jersey. Still ended the day with another free fall run down Gear Jammer! Don’t know how much longer the ski to the base options will last, especially with the warm temps expected next weekend. If your still into lazy big mountain skiing then Blackcomb is the place to be. Kinda wish I wasn’t so nice to my Mom – especially next weekend.
