My Oh My Thank you all that did not show up today. Made my day harder and easier and very nice in my own private ski area – harder cause every run I had to decide what untracked personal fav line (or amigo fav line) to do, easier cause I did not have to rush to do it.... Started out the day pulling into the front of the A lot at 8:40, nice empty ride up the Bucket on top by 9am, snowing, damp, but good vis, filtered sun on top, did my worst run of the day down Lucky – not to great grooming, kinda firm. Spent the rest of the morning tracking up the Doors and Bearpits, soft couple of new to smooth it out, somewhat sticky slow, but the Coombas were very happy. A few runs in the Valley – also nice, never went further north than Grubstake. Second worst run of the day getting from the bottom of REX over to FQex – pretty slow and sticky, just to check out what the soup of the day was – Mushroom. Some almost sun breaks up top mid day, snowing a good part of the day (third worst thing today having to wipe the goggles every once in a while), not lift lines (cause there was no one on the mountain – Thank You all again). Didn’t get as wet as I expected to today, tried to cut up pretty much every where I could – should be brutal when all the roller boulders freeze up today, but the grooming tomorrow hopefully will be better. Pretty great first day of Spring/Summer ski season. Lookin forward to big hot sun all weekend. No pay lot and the A lot was maybe ¾ full – nice.
