Another big sunny start to the day, felt cold early, groomers maybe a little firmer – but pretty nice and smooth, light early morning crowd allowed for fast roundtrips on REX, lots of people showed up around 10am – pushing us to HC which was still a little to early, best line early was skier left of the chair, same in PB – skier left the softest, BP’s was great by 11. Bad accident on Luckyshot below PB with a Helicopter evac caused the closure of the everything in the Luckyshot basin for at least a hour+ A few short lines on REX late morning, lots of folks in CB lodge – early lunch soups were Chicken Coconut Curry and Vegy Beef Barley, late lunch soups – CCC still and Tomato Basil Bisque ( the Vegy Beef must have been popular or not much of it left over from Friday. It never seemed to get as warm today, there was just enough wind blowing up the mountain to keep things comfortable – not to hot. Snow was nice and mucky pretty much anywhere that had enough direct sun on it. I think the big comp on the King was canceled do to not enough heat and sun on the King. Bikini races on Gold Hills were happening when I left. Pay lot almost full, C full, B close to full, D and E pretty full – so it must have been a pretty good crowd today. Crystal should be happy with the turn out.
