April 2, 2012, Stevens Pass

Arrived just as the sun was rising over Big Chief Bowl.  Blue sky, no wind, and lots of untracked powder thanks to yesterday's wind closures (that's what we heard anyway.)  We were fortunate to have shred guide us to the best runs, fresh tracks all morning as the sun began to be obscured by cloud, and thanks to his son Zach for baby sitting his sister while shred senior sat us!    vimeo.com/39678066

After a nice lunch at the Rich movable condo, we headed out with Zach to find more leftovers while the blue sky and sun returned.  Ending the day on buttery groomers was the icing on the cake.  Truly a great day, many thanks to Jeff for sharing, and again to TAY for building such a great community of snow sliders.

Finally, congrats to Bri for skiing Double Diamond at age 8.  Rip it up!!

Skiing was great, on all North facing and lee loaded slopes. Even got out to Hollywood before the sun nuked it. It's always a pleasure to ski with Silas, and his "Personal physician" Jim is a Shredder as well.
Today is skiing well. Missed the gloom and doom rain event and as of 12:30 it is snowing and blowing. Gotta love spring!
