Big bonus day two – maybe bigger, big sunny (eventually – kinda grey early), big inch or two new, very small pay lot, very small crowd, very nice grooming, very nice pretty much everywhere I and those I know went today, very big inaccurate telemetry showing today – just checked it, there was no precip today, mostly sunny from 10am on all day, the winds were blowing at times – enough to shut down HC at the mental wrong time today, so sad on that timing and even more sad based on the telemetry showing pretty mild gust but from the wrong direction. Best runs of the day for me - PB! great from the start, I assume the King was even better since it looked awesome all morning – dang. GV bowl and most places in the Valley, lots of the front side of REX, Doors and BP’s. All in all a great marketing kind of day. Soups – no Chicken Noodle – same as yesterday Chick Coconut Curry (Note this James two days in a row) and also Roasted Red Pepper Bisque again! Asked if it was left overs from yesterday, didn’t get a good response…..Pay lot was very small – and almost still to big, got a great parking spot for the first time since before Christmas, C lot not even half full, cant really see whats happing in B lot with the high snow banks blocking the view. Great day!

Read the disclaimer on the page

Still picking up data from the power outage

the power outage was last month, can we just put it behind us......On a much happier note, the new month has started on an extremely high point over at the soup counter. In fact this maybe the best first 2 days of any month ever at Crystal mt. for soup, there I said it.......the best ever

When the power is turned back on, the precip gauge is once again heated and the unmelted snow that's sitting in the collector atop the precip gauge finally melts. So today it's recording some of the precip that it missed earlier during the power outage.

Wow, sun and perfect pow in Avie Basin, extreme packed pow down the center of Powder Bowl and Bear Pits, and the best of sun-drenched butter in the sun on the Frontside. With the huge snowpack, we skied all the lines that are unavailable in lighter years. Unfortunately, there will be a lot of sun damage when it freezes, and only the most north-facing aspects will stay soft. Someone tried but left most of 3-Way untracked for tomorrow. Put today in the top 10 for the year.
