Went up last night with a buddy from work. Arrived to about 8-12" of fresh mushy "quicksand like" snow. Looked as if very few people had been up that day, so it was fresh tracks - but that wasn't a good thing in those conditions. I was beginning to look fondly of skiing on really hard icy snow! Later in the evening when the boarders had sufficient time to "groom" the runs - it was pleasant, but by that time it was time to go get beers down in North Bend....
