Kinda the opposite of Saturday, second row of free A lot at 7:45, huge empty pay lot space (when I left at 2pm I was in the 4th row of the free lot? Hhmm, when should you arrive to get close in free parking?), high thin overcast to start the day, big sucker hole sun breaks all morning with bands of grey clouds in between, very light early crowd, very nice high speed groomers early in the day ( The Plunge! ), PB/BP’s getting better all day with bigger packed pow bumps and almost sun softening snow in BP’s. Valley had nice snow on the shady slopes. Any sun baked slopes were not doable based on the folks I watched trying. Weather was looking pretty dark just before noon, but the Rainier donut hole kept the vis nice and kept me on the mountain longer than expected. Still nice enough when I left at 2pm to have done a few more hamster runs. Soups of the day were Clam Chow and Chicken Curry something or other, the pizza’s where impressive enough to sucker me into buying a piece – it was very good with a Fat Tire. Pretty good crowd based on the parking lots, but less than Saturday, A lot funny, C lot sort of full, B lot maybe 2/3 full, cars in D and E.

Yes..very strange A lot parking... I left truck at old Northway shuttle stop and did a Deep north run first thing and then as I was driving all my buddies back to the Gondi and worrying about getting close parking.....there was a whole couple of rows right at the front.......very cool and strange. Good that they moved the permit only sign up when they realized pay parking wasn't going to be full.

Skied untracked pow in Deep north and then ran top to bottom laps on groomers as fast as we could with no stopping allowed until legs gave out.
