Took yesterday off and so glad I did. Sun was out all morning long and combined with deep powder. Armstrong started loading shortly after 9 and Chair 2 opened sometime around 10. Did 2 runs on the front side (Ingrid's and Lower Internaltional\Sessel). 3rd time up we saw Chair 2 was loading and waited about 10-15 minutes. First run down International - best conditions I have ever seen there, lots of face shots. Went back up for Breakover, Powder Bowl, and Rollen, all superb. Eldelweiss and Powder Bowl had a bit of debris in them and not many were skiiing there. After noon the chopped up crud started to get heavy down low and the fun factor was decreasing quick. The bc gates opened sometime around 1 but we headed to Hyak for 2 untracked runs (1 down the back and other front) and was surprised at the amount of traffic it had received already.
Definetely my best day at Alpental.
