3/21 Crystal

Suspected it would be good with the reported 6" of new and calming winds, but it was REAL good!
I'd venture to guess that was more than 6", but the best part was no crowds, no winds, views forever, and the snow stayed cold all day. Even the avi debris was velvety smooth.
Would have stayed and hiked SB till close, but had to pick up wifey from work.
I have no idea what the soup was. No stopping, except near a tree well to pee.

-Motivation for all of you to steer clear of those tree wells.

I could only fit in the last half today, no Gondy lines, 1st lap was solo, 2nd "don't you people have jobs" Miller and Anmar shared their wisdom. Niagras and O still had untouched lines, the elot lappers all had frozen grins Morning Glory to Brand X was remarkably good, chutes were full. Lower Northway (to the old bus stop) was delightfully unconsolidated and remarkably fresh. Catchin a ride back up was priceless. Thanks Scotty Reports from South and Sandflats were consistant as well, you couldn't find a bad run today.

I'll chime in and agree, today was awesome. 12-18" of untracked everywhere. Took us till 1:00 for the first run we couldn't find an untracked line on. And that was still great bouncing pillows of fluff. Weird how last week it was hordes, today no lines and couldn't fill the chairs. My shit-eating-grin muscles hurt.

Yes what a great day!

I think the reason for the light crowd is that everyone used their "sick" days last week.

Love the new GoPro but still a bit pathetic about getting films edited. Did a little something from Wednesday the 21st. Those of you that skied that day knew it was something pretty special. Me and good buddy Mark had a fantastic time even though Mark tweaked his knee and ended the day with a ski patrol assisted sled ride down.
