Nice day at Alpental. Report said 4 inches but probably more like 6-7 when I got there at 9 AM. Nice sliding on C1 for 2 runs and then C2 opened up about 9:40.
No line.......no joke. Cars in P1, P2 a few in P3 and P4 but no lines, and no the entire day. It was ski right on to the chair every time.
Shot 6 nice. I skied the avy chute that had been blown and then had 4 inches new on top. Very smooth and easy skiing. Nash was awesome, super smooth.
Very strong winds on top, way stronger then usual. Kept blowing the snow in on Nash and kept it smooth till my last run at 130 PM.
E gate opened at 11:30 and first tracks were to be had. Gun was great as was Gun Barrel trees. Then caught 2 traverse runs out to lower knoll 4 and it was really nice. Snow was bit layered but all in all very nice.
