Awesome powder at Tamarack Thursday and Friday. Very cold, about 20" and about 10 degrees. The McCall Brundage faithful and a Boise crowd has finally figured out that Tamarack is closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so when it snows that day it can be deep. Inbounds got mainly tracked by about 1:30 but then just head out. South Backcountry first as it is fairly mellow and good to see stability. Steep bowls like Wildwood bowl and Half Moon bowl were amazing and snow stability was good as long as you stayed away from NE windloaded pitches. No tracks in North even into Saturday but it got warmer at about 11:30 Saturday and snow stability got more questionable. Sunday was better suited for a day at Brundage which had decent packed powder conditions and sun. never crowds at Tamarack but was surprised to see even very light crowds at Brundage on sunday. Upper parking lot was only about 70% full.

Sounds great...but what about the soup?...you have to include what the soup of the day was at the lodge as well as a detailed account of parking lot usage in lift-accessed reports. You did the parking but omitted the soup report.
If no soup...reports on stew or chilli are acceptable substitutes.
Nice to hear about condition at another resort.
