Big day, big fogy white out conditions, big lack of participation at least on the lifts, lots of big stay close to the trees runs, really big hamster (for me) vert kinda day again, big variety of ski amigos to ski with as the day progressed, not big new snow – but at least a inch of two new, some light snowfall late in the day, big top to bottom runs – biggest was Upper E to the base did it a couple of times, PB was good but the vis was just on the wrong side of good, BP’s and OuterFerks very repeatable, plus all the Doors over to Sunnyside and M-World fun when the vis was just right, nice snow out Northway – but that is a long slow chair ride, big work going on at the base getting ready for the party weekend, soups of the day – pretty much the same as always, secret split pea and that southwestern chicken stuff????what was it? dang it. Pay lot big and marginally used, B have full, C pretty full. Fun day.

Yea, Big day for us too.  ^^ on foggy, snow about everywhere we went was still soft enough to make it more fun than work. Started off with a top to bottom gondy cruiser, Ice Berg to Deer Fly. DF [and Later we Found] Lower Bull were the best packed pow groomers ever. [yes ever] Nice left over skied up crud out Northway, however the last corner was its usual iceball self. Emp Housing was a bit of work but still fun. It will be thick Sat with the rising freezing level. Same can be said to all of the lower mountain off piste. LS trees, Upper Bull, Bruce's Bowl, Grubstake Trees, all fun. Last run of the day did another top to bottom and went skiers right from Iceberg to ski the usual crud face and discovered A another Groomer!!! What the H. It actually worked out OK as my legs were pretty shot anyway. Never saw DDK as he is a myth.

Great snow if you stuck to the trees, really tight trees. Amazing how foggy it was. Northway and Employee Housing had excellent snow and good vis with the trees. In close, even the Doors whited out at times and the traverses to the good stuff were usually blind. Outer Ferk's and Bear Pits were best off Rex. Might not matter tomorrow, as the temps rose 10+ degrees today, and there isn't enough consolidation for good warm temp skiing when the warm front moves in tonight/tomorrow. Hopefully, the saturday masses will smooth and pack it for some fun on sunday when it dries out before next week's freeze-up. (ddk isn't a myth, but he did stick to the H-wheel when round 2 of Northway and E-housing served up the afternoon delights). Yes the "NW last turn" was pretty hairball and heard it was to be called in as a must groom for tonight.

Yes I'm not a myth yet (just ask any lift opp) and the SquireHopperHamster had lots of fun running the treadmill at my own pace in the afternoon. I'm sure round two out Northway was O-Gazmic....Didnt want to repeat EH (it is a nice run), but E top to bottom (the wimpy entrance) didnt require 800 vert of traversing groomers plus bouncing around on I-5....I am kinda wimpy and pretty lazy about that stuff - and I'll admit it. Still had lots of fun today.

Are you describing the visibility and conditions? Split Pea and Southwest Chicken heads?

I'm glad that you hamster the comfortable locations, otherwise as much as you ski there would be none left for the rest of us. ;)
