Pretty sure everyone on the slopes today thought it was a very big great leap day, very cold, very light crowd, empty chairs all day – except from what I could see of the bucket which seemed to be pretty full most of the day, fair big winds across the top, lots of snow falling all day, big frenzy of smart folks cutting up most places early – but they all went out somewhere else and allowed the core from HC to GV to fill back in and actually improve. Only line I didn’t repeat to verify that it got better was Memorial F. During the afternoon pretty much everywhere we went was smoother, deeper and better – gotta like those kinda days when most folks hang out in those nice and warm lodges! Was still dumping when we finally drove away at 3:15 – really wish I hadn’t scheduled chores for tomorrow, but Friday should still be big. Checked what the soups were today – Loaded Potato and Pea….I’d be interested in really nice chunky thick chicken noodle….Pretty empty parking lots, except for the buses in the Pay lot. Snow pack is really starting to get deep and sweet – getting close to go everywhere conditions, should be a great spring and summer of skiing again this year. Gonna have to repeat for those that might not be paying attention – today was big and tomorrow will be bigger - I’m sure we’ll hear.
