Was discouraged as we found Powder Bowl's aspect surpassingly firm and Bear Pits quite icy. Northway changed our outlook. Wind had slowed 6 to a crawl, but on NW, it only was windy on the top. Sunny aspects were still crunchy but Pucker's, Flush Gap, Northway Chute, Bruce's Bowl, Horseshoe Cliffs, Flyin' Floyd's made the day. At 1:15, we unloaded as the ski patrol started closing the gates to NW. Turns out the rest of the upper mountain had closed earlier due the wind. Took Employee Housing and I-5 out as the last ones off the top, great snow. Really cold with the wind and was layered up to what I wear at 5 degrees. Dumping and blowing in new as we skied EH out. It will take a foot or more to freshen the sunny aspects, but looks like it's on its way tonight. The north facers are already refreshed and only need the wind to die down.
