Very nice sunny day, cold, light winds, no crowds – at least no lift lines, big views, inch or two new of hoar frost diamonds in the snow early, got bonus unexpected company from JD, HC running early so being true HamsterSqurelHopper (HSH) kinda guy’s we headed that way, early on got first tracks in PB and BP’s – smooth and fun in the cold sunshine, the King was mentioned and our weak lung hike was on, got to the top and saw the big views, JD did first tracks today down Braindamage, I lazed into Hourglass – neither perfect, but down low it was nice light untracked pow….so after bustin our lungs (wimps we be), spent most of the rest of the day recovering by beating up the Doors to M-World, with one EH run just for those not around today. There was some sun bakin on the southern slopes and it was noticeable during our last few runs (very soft in places and lumping up in others) – even with cold temps the sun is starting to have an effect. Last run of the day was the first actual GV bowl run – was very nice and would have been worth a few more, but we ended with a lazy IceFerkBerg run down to Deerfly. What little groomers we touched were perfect, soups of the day were Potato and Tomato (what a combo), Pay lot made some effort – and it was big today, cars in B (half?) and C (almost full?), whats happening with Monday’s?, never used to be so many folks when I was actually working.
