Feb 25 + 26th, 2012 - Stevens Pass + video

Wow is all I can say.   Saturday was the deepest snow I've skied in this year.   10" since the backside closed and another 10" of dumpage in the morning made for a VERY deep day.   On the top of the mountain it was WAY deeper (as you'll see in the video .  The snow that fell in the morning was so light it billowed at every turn.  At times it was waist plus deep and white room conditions.  Snow tapered off for a bit and we had a little filtered sun, then back to cloudy and the snow started anew.   From the hoots and hollers in the morning, everyone was having a good time.   Lots of people in the lots, but the crowds disappeared from the backside at lunch time.

Another 8-10" fell Saturday night.  Sunday there were even more people in the parking lots and there were big  lift lines early.   Great poof snow in the area and lots of fun,  but no where near as deep as on Saturday.  Sun came out off and on in the afternoon and even with the cold temps you could feel its effects on the snow on the lower mountain.
