Wow, quite fun today, especially off Chair 2 on both sides. Had to pay attention to sluffs a bit especially in steep trees on Snake Dance. Steep and deep. The line on the upper lift was not awful, and even short a few times. Not bad at all on the quad. Maybe "chains required except AWD" kept some folks from heading up? They closed the lifts for a bit starting at 3:45 to bomb. Which is not surprising given how hard it was snowing all day.

Met one lurker who professed motivation to start posting here. C'mon!

It really was good - almost shocking for a Saturday. We stared at Hyak, where it was a tad heavier but still pretty untracked until about 10:30. The backside was especially nice, even after it started to get skied out. Then we decided to head to Alpy. Amazingly, we found parking under St Bernard and were riding Armstrong in less than 10 minutes. Chair 2 lines were a bit longer. But it was worth it. International was skied out a bit but really soft, Adreneline still had some powder and the gully below it (to the R and below Snake Dance - what's that called??) was deeeep in spots. So were spots off Rollen, Shot 6, etc...wow.

I bet there's lots of soft stuff still out there today.

Fantastic conditions all weekend with Saturday being the pick with lower crowds. Saturday was my best inbounds weekend riding at Alpental helped by being 1st on the chair after bailing on Mission ridge due to winds. Everything was in great shape and 10" fell from 7 until 4.
