February 19, 2012 Crystal Mountain

Boot-top new over yesterday's cut pow made for great conditions everywhere. A huge crowd today dictated the choices, but without a bad run on the mountain, no problem. High points were the Employee Housing Slide, Pucker's Gulch, the entire Frontside from Bearpits to Memorial. Oh, that was everything we skied. Last run out Mine Shaft/Snake Pit was icing on the cake. Low point was Northway line at 15 minutes. Power Bowl and South looked great, but we avoided the Forest Queen line of 15 minutes that led to a C-6 line of, we heard, 30 minutes at times. Great packed pow for tomorrow before tuesday's possible rain.

All day in A basin, the king and South. Th line got long at 6, but less than 30 min. Great snow everywhere. very sad about the stevens event. From the reading these guys were doing everything right and still got killed. the survivor had an ABS pack and she was buried up to her head but not submerged. remind me to start wearing mine!
