North-facing aspects are still holding very nice snow for the most part. Sun-facing slopes were crunchy lumps. Main driver today was the fog, as it took a very close proximity to trees to see anything. Suddenly at noon, the fog cleared, sun shone, and we got an hour to ski the northfacers that were too open to see in the fog. High points – Paradise Bowl Left, Penny Dawgs Right, Bruce's Bowl in the fog; Powder Bowl, Green Valley Bowl, Snorting Elk Right, Horseshoe Chutes with visibility. Low Points – Doors, Grubstake, sunny chutes in Campbell Basin. Still lots of ice, but the 1 or 2 inch a day dustings are helping. Northway peak woulda been great, but the whiteout kept us away. Went with a plan of low expectations, and luckily, they were exceeded.
