When you predict it to be mediocre and it is, You don't get disappointed. The Snow was "firm", however on most of the groomed we skied, you could ski from pile to pile. Iceberg right down the center was OK, the one run we did on Rolling Knolls was OK, Lucky Shot was the best of the bunch, followed closely by Snorting Elk. Off the groomers was a mixed bag. Under the Throne was good about half way and then got crunchy. Powder Bowl had a fog bank in it that made it hard to figure the snow. Northway Peak got the run of the day award but the center section after that was either icy bumps, in the gut, or clumpy crunchy on the sides. GV north side was skiable, as was West face. The worst run of the day was Lower E by a long shot. A,B,C,D,E lots full, but lines were surprisingly light. It beat sitting home.
