Finally heard a second hand report from Mr. CD for his big trip up north - "It was the right pick for yesterday. Wet and windy at Crystal. Stevens was snowing lightly all day, no wind, and they picked up a couple inches while there. The whole Southern Cross side of the mountain was in pretty good shape with better snow than Crystal. I don't think they've been getting the winds there. Got a 30K day in. Also now have the equivalent of an Edge card for Stevens. I get a $15 mid-week discount and $7 week-end discount because I have a season's pass form another NW ski area. Plus, the first time through the gates in the morning, the credit card gets charged. It's a much better system than Crystal's. But dang, it's a long drive!" - Yee Haa.
