Variable kinda day – big sucker hole of partly cloudy sky’s from 8:30 – 9:30 then big snow puke till 10:30 then pretty much high enough filtered clouds to make vis nice the rest of day. A little new early, another pretty good dump during the 9:30 hour, impeccable smooth grooming on the groomers I did, PB before the snow storm – skier right side of the top – was very nice and high speed smooth and even better right after the morning snow storm when it was new smooth and untracked again, did a couple of runs in BP’s nice in the smooth lines with the new – Coomba’s worked great today in the deep new pow – only run I can true fully say was totally bad – SunnySide! dang couldn’t find a smooth line so bailed to the much more pleasant (and sun warmed) gully next to M-World, M-World was very doable and IceFerkBerg was actually pretty nice, almost going mucky soft as the day went on, did a couple of groomer runs out NW, Northway Bowl – nice, the Horseshoes slot area – nice, the big wide groomers out NW where more than impeccably smooth, the bumps chair line at the bottom were very entertaining, the chair ride was slow and quiet. No real crowds today, lots of buses (9), some cars almost in C lot, no lift lines anywhere even the bucket – and especially on HC, fun day – what’s new about that ?, might be my last day at Crystal for a little while, hope a lot of new snow shows up in the next week…cause I’ll be down stream.
