Not as epic as last Thu/Fri. But maybe still worthy of Larry Schick's powder alert callout. Snow report claim of 5" in 24hr seemed about right but there was a lot of variability in distribution. Areas that were under trees and somewhat on sunny sides didn't really get enough to cover up some of the ugliness that must've happened from Sunday's and Tuesday's warmups. For example the forested areas under Highland once leaving the open bowl were pretty bad. But open slopes and forests where hadn't gotten as much warmup were better, like Hidden Valley or whatever the real name is for that stretch above the Outer Limits hairpin. Sun came out more and more but temps today weren't snow cooking. Or at least they merely schmoo-ized the snow a little instead of totally turning it into redimix. Tomorrow might be a different story.
Bigger crowd than typical Thursday, guess it was the nice weather, but no lift lines just slightly fuller parkinglots and lodges. Easy drive too, bare pavement.
