What a variable day, big early morning sunny sucker hole that only lasted a half hour, then some pretty grey high clouds blowin off Rainier for an hour or so (thought I might have to go to low light lens), but sun breaks came and went till I left and when it was sunny it was “HOT”. Lots of big mountain views today. Most places I skied got more and more soft/warm/mucky mid day on the sunnier slopes and since there was not much traffic (though the parking lots had a fair number of cars when I left) some places started to go mashed potatoes (correct spelling Mr Quayle?) and somewhat sticky grabby slow on any sunny flat places, north slopes still were fun. Energy and quads gave out pretty early for me today, plus I’ve got to save a few turns for Mr.CD’s big party day tomorrow. Wanted to do the King, but not the right folks around at the right time and maybe we’ll save it for the party tomorrow in the sun. Walked through CB lodge to check out the soups…since I was not totally correct yesterday, but all I can remember is seeing lots of folks in there and Split Pea soup (what was that other one – dang it). Fair number of cars in C today, looks like the rat saw his shadow today, yee haa six more weeks of winter.
