Pretty nice day all in all, dumpin snow hard when we pulled into the lots this morning and it kept up for a few hours. All looked sweet to start, but the upper south facing slopes were pretty firm underneath the deep very light new. Less steep or more protected areas had some nice deep to start and it just kept all getting better. In and out on the vis-o-meter till around 1pm when pretty much everything (except PB) got very nice. Snow felt deep, early morning it was cold smoke quality – which made the firm underneath very firm, but it got a little heavier and wind/skier packed, so lots of slopes got better. GV bowl had nice quality. Should still be lots of nice untracked lines around the mountain tomorrow, since not many folks on the mountain – except the HHWW buses and there were a few of them – most of those folks are not off Piste types. Didn’t get around to going North or South of the middle of Campbell Basin (could have stayed up on HC a lot longer today), should still be some nice things out those ways. Went back on previous posts and checked out the soups today – Baja Chicken and Minestrone, the BC was pretty good (never seen JD eat so much food before, pretty impressive that he could still ski this afternoon). Not many cars parked other than in the A lot (sorry), didn’t ever notice the UCBCE lot since I did not get a bucket ride today. Ready for more.
