Jill and I were waiting at the lift at 8:30am expecting to be sitting on chair 4 momentarily. Unfortunately, the lift was having some issues and required a person to make some roller adjustments and spray the rollers at the base. Finally, we were sitting on the chair at 9am but it wasn't a non-stop ride. The lift had short stops for the couple of hours we were rididing it. The backside lift worked consistently. Now the skiing was very good. The groomers were packed powder. Off piste there was 6" of powder from the recent storm on Thursday and a very light crust. I was skiing a wide ski and could barely notice the crust. It seems as the recent cold temperatures since the Thursday storm dried the moisture from the snow and the crust seemed minimal. There were untracked lines in the trees even after a couple hours. By 11am the lift lines grew and we headed to Rhodies for some BBQ.
