Crystal - 12/27

Fun day, not really what I expected, less new than the some of the forecasts, bigger early crowd - saddly, bad lift operations (REX was havin some problems early - rooky lift opps working it), more sun at times, more funny precip – some ice pellets, some wet precip late, good grooming early, but snow went heavy wet pretty quick on the sunny slopes, big fun in PB – got first tracks this morning in PB, nice mucky deep stuff on the sunny slopes of HC and REX (Mworld and Sunnyside), finally skied some Doors off REX today – yee haa, nice bumps in the Valley, lots of folks in the lift lines that were pretty clueless on REX and FQex, and the typically bad Crystal lift lines set up today – 10+ wide gates on REX, saw some rocks in places, some nice new snow today, full parking lots again today when I left – even the Pay lot folks showed u, whats up with those folks? Like I started this report….a pretty fun day all in all. ddk

Not as much new as expected but after 4 weeks of frozen groomers, a GREAT day. Ddk got the basics. Powder Bowl and Bruce's Bowl won the prizes, till it started raining. Will be some hell to pay as it refreezes. The new snow was packing hard but not before the post christmas crowd beat it down to rocks in the high traffic areas. Today's conditions don't help much for future predictions as it's raining nearly to the top tonight.
