Another day of fresh snow and sunshine that exceeded expectations. Robie, DaveP and his 2 sons and I loaded Silver Fir at 8:50am. The report of 4" new overnight was correct and it was light snow. We enjoyed the first tracks down Outback and I heard Robie barking and yelping along the descent. The sun was hitting the upper slopes but the snow remained soft during our visit. The fog rolled in for a short time then just as quickly disappeared. The groomers left a few ridges on the lower slopes but the visibility was excellent along the Silver Fir tree lined runs. It was an unusual sight to see the upper face under the Silver Fir lift with fresh powder in the sun with a blue sky background before being tracked up. We cruised for 2 hours and did 12 runs/12,000vf and headed back to the city. Surprisingly there were no lift lines during our brief visit. Pinch me - sunshine, powder and uncrowded.

Silver Fir is too much fun mid-week in the morning after new snowfall. Glad you got it.
