Dang It Janet! (toned down line from Rocky Horror), Another sunny day with a dusting of new, and 10 times the crowd compared to last Monday….but still no lift lines to speak of for a almost holiday week, but still ended up with lots of solo rides for me, especially on HC since most of my lift opp friends were working. Best Gondy ride today was my first, got a private bucket ride with Ms. Kim K. had a nice conversation. Second time I tried to ride the bucket around noon it was having some REX like problems with bucket spacing – stopped a bunch of times for way to long – noticed it stopping a number of times so I stayed away after that. Heard some comments about very wet precip on Sunday and nasty vis, my first run down PB at 9:30 confirmed a lot of that. A little extra fuz on the surface that was definitely not as nice as the last two weeks, still could carve it, but it was a lot firmer – but in the end I still ended up repeating it a few more times during the day. Gotta say (sorry) today I was back to hamster mode – lots of GV to IceFerkberg runs, with a few Lucky bumps mixed in. GV has some really perfect sized bumps that got better every time I did them today with perfect back light from the sun, and IFB was the only place I found today that started to get a little soft – as the day progressed I started being good and picking up the boulders and rocks towards the bottom ( I still cant figure out where all those rocks are coming from, but they are showing up at the bottom). Another fun day for me, but definitely a lot firmer than its been – though Ann’s run in GV has been pretty pleasant when I’ve suffered GV chair and runs out SnortElk way. Pay lot didn’t make it again, cars in B lot and C was pretty full. Anybody actually out there praying for snow – I’m thinkin about it. Sounds like maybe for New Years. ddk
