Crystal - 12/05

Dang tough day, was runnin solo all day, so had a left brain/right brain problem – one said go to PB the other said go anywhere on the front side of REX (after 10:15 anyway). That was pretty much the extent of my random path today. Started out with high speed groomer runs (with GV bowl in the middle of all that – very nice packed styro small bumps) on IceFeryBerg (awesome skier right side gotta say, very smooth with some new wind blown to soften things up before the sun bake happened) and Luckyshot. Nobody on the slopes, nobody on the lifts, nobody in the parking lots ( pay lot more than usually empty!), everybody on the mountain (including employees) could have parked in the A lot if not for the very big empty zone for buses and the 1%. Most of the slopes I skied are holding up even with the lack of new snow, but getting off the top of HC is starting to get a little challenging. Never headed south off HC, but it looked pretty ugly the first couple of turns. Heading into PB has more rocks, but you can still get around them…maybe by the end of the week it might be getting very hard. Finished the day with a lot of packed snow GV bowl to slush cup IceFerkBerg – was a great way to take it easy. All in all a very big fun high speed day, finally had a plus 40k day, kinda would like to go tomorrow, but its gotta be a chore day off for me – oh boy…ddk

Okay okay...yes I should expand my horizons and go farther north or south...I will when the deep new snows start to pile up, next month. So Scotsman was Left Angle really "fun" recently or true adventure skiing - like I expect. Also TW, I have seen who I call Vertical George doing REX chair line on days when I would not even think about doing it. I am a pretty lazy hamster in a treadmilll kinda guy sometimes, as my friends would say, just need more folks around at the right time to drag me out of my lazy comfort zone. dan
