Crystal - 12/04

Another really big day from the start, very light crowd on the lifts, great early groomers we had to do! - Lucky and IceFerkberg (very smooth and fast), PB great early today (my preferred route off the top skier right, hook in early cut to the center about 30 ft below the top and scream high speed turns to the bottom – My Oh My – nice). Getting off the top of HC is getting a little more difficult with rocks to ski around, but not to bad. Things went off on the front side of REX around10:30 and got better and better till I left sometime after 2pm. Soft spring slush, oh so nice. Lots of nice warm sunshine. Gotta say it was a great day with a whole bunch of Amigo’s. Lookin forward to a big warm day tomorrow. ddk

For limited and marginal conditions (shady slopes firming up, smooth but icy groomers) today was a lot of fun. Before it warmed, Powder Bowl was the place, smooth, fast, stryo-snow. But it warmed early and skier groomed off piste came alive. We cycled the Frontside - Breakover, Sunnyside, Greg's Gulch (best and lasted the longest), and Memorial. Don't take lunch, the re-freeze starts early. By 1:30 it was starting to stiffen. Looks like a couple more warm springlike days coming up. Lots of tip-to-tail and side-by side slush slinging with the gang, Big Fun.
