Crystal 12/3

No DDK? so here goes by just another CM old timer.
Nice job of deicing 410. All the way from E-claw. traffic scooted right along. Sunny from the start. No gondy line at 8:50. Per ddk's report from yesterday did GV shade. Face below the summit house was good , West Face a little crunchy, Snort Elk bowl had the best snow. No rocks. Ice Berg skied pretty good it held up well. The front side didn't thaw much. Chair 6, under the throne was worth repeating. The traverse was pretty good for early season, hit a couple of rocks. the top got pretty scraped later on . PB again [ per ddk ] was the most fun of the day, but you really have to pick your way through the rocks at the top and getting off the top to the main runs. Fog moved in about 12:00 and PB went flat light. Cleared up a bit as I split. Fun day!

I agree, The wife and I found good turns in all the right spots in GV we lapped Lucky shot where the snow was still good, good day on the groom with the girl I have been skiing with since 1966.

Sorry for the late report to help Sunday's skiers but the word from Saturday is PB, skier's left. Sidestep to the top, down the ridge to the first slot, bear right when you can, say WOW! and grin from ear to ear. Otherwise Saturday was ok most places. Zero crowd, B lot half full.
