Jill and I arrived at Central Express just as the lift started loading. It was a foggy and damp morning with temperatures in the low 30's. The type of day that if we had spent the evening in our campervan in the parking lot, we would have rolled over in bed and gone back to bed.

From the the base of Central Express you could not see the base of the Alpine run. There were a few inches of new, dense snow that covered the top of my lowest boot buckle. Jill and I were testing some modifications on our alpine boots so we made a few runs and headed back to the city. The groomers were pleasant around the treed runs bordering Silver Fir which provided visibility. Covererage is quite good but with the fog and flat light this wasn't the time for high speed cruisers. Considering the amount of snow in other regions of the country, we are pretty fortunate. As we departed we noticed some folks touring at Summit West and we could see the top of the lifts so the fog seemed to be rather variable during our brief visit.
