November 25, 2011 Mission Ridge

Mission continues to ski well, the top half was the best with nice soft snow, about halfway down there was some death cookies, not sure if it was from the snow making, or rain. Over all though, it was really very good, crowds were light and on most runs we had the slope to ourselves. The only problem, was the cold (~14F) about six runs, and we were ready for a warm up, sky's were clear, and calm winds.

Were you able to take those breaks at Midway?

The sun was great but the wind was biting at times, dropping the wind chill down to about -12* (according to the telemetry). Fortunately we were bundled up and ripped 10 runs before departing around noon. There was a decent amount of fresh snow on the sides and no rocks were hit. All in all an early-season success
