After touring at Paradise,  I needed a cruiser.  Summer skiing at Timberline was perfect.  When I purchased a lift ticket, the woman working the desk said, "you picked a great day-the conditions are incredible".  Now I'm an old marketing guy so I'm rather suspicious of snow condition reports.  WOW, she was soooooo right.  The conditions from 10am to noon were as good as it gets with an inch of cream on a firm base.

Since my last visit 2 years ago, the ski camps have exploded.  The teenage groups dominated and there were the under 10 yr old ski groups plus the US para-Olympic team.  I  skied off piste towards Illumination Rock, but the conditions were variable.  The groomed/solar salt terrain was wonderful.  There were plenty of lanes to charge as fast as your snow tools could carry you.

There are days when skiing perfectly groomed corn slopes are what the body needs - today was that day for me.  ;)

Woot! Sounds awesome Zap. Hope Jill got some good sunshine while you were working on your aerials with the kids.
