June 18th, Crystal

No ddk marketing report this week so I'll file for him.
Took a great leap of faith to drive 2 hrs to Crystal today and even more to boot up in misty wet parking lot but skiing was actually very good. No Rex so GV and SEB only options. Met up with some buddies.
Spent day exploring every nook and cranny around Grubstake Peak ( sort of... never been down here..lets take a look sort of day)and even found some new stashes.
Watched the Paul Melby memorial ski  start and they skied to his resting place and left flowers and a picture of him and  it was very touching.
Weather was wet and misty but skiing was surprisingly good. Joined by Joe later and we did some top to bottoms that involved some vegetation skiing and really nice snow.
Great day..... you never know 'till you go.
Hopefully better weather tomorrow and some touring.

Congrats sir! on what sounded like a better day than I expected….glad to hear about it…I finally decided that with out easy up load via REX that my lazy a..sss was not ready for the drive up based on my preconceived opinion of expected conditions. I will be up on a big sunny weekend(if I’m not committed to something else already) and hopefully we’ll get a few of those before the Valley melts out – in early August. So whats the report for today the 19th? Jim?

Sunday was a repeat for us with better visibility and no need for goggle wiping.
Too bad we had to leave early, we probably would have skied our legs off till the closing bell.
