Crystal - 05/06

Another day in a private ski area, a number of times today I think I was the only person on REX. Snowing again today – will it ever end. Pretty firm conditions first thing, today the main run off the top that was groomed was IceFerkBerg, which was actually pretty nice and soft and smooth. A inch or so new and snow fall most of the day on the upper to mid mountain smoothed out the slopes – was somewhat wet, a two pair of gloves kind of day. Valley bowl was nice and smooth since nobody could see it yesterday and there was nobody around today (Crystal might be having second thoughts on being open or at least having so many lifts running). The A parking lot might have been 2/3’s full, I parked in the front row at 7:30. Had some nice runs down M-World and REX chair line. Lower Bull/Ferks was very nice. Met up with David/myikat – very enjoyable conversation and skiing – thanks for the company. David can crank some nice tele-turns, very impressive. ddk

Very much my pleasure. Vis was terrible with the wet snow but braille skiing is fun on a flat surface. Nice to put a face to the name. Hard to believe it's May.

Based on recent changes to the Crystal operation plan....my report on Friday was also the last Friday lift served report in Washington - sorry just keeping a comment patern going - ugh.

Sort of pissy that Crystal would yank the next couple of Fridays after advertising them in the spring season marketing. I'm sure there was fine print somewhere... >

I just talked to a guy who bought the spring pass and can only ski on Fridays. He was not exactly happy. > > >
Maybe Crystal will do the right thing and offer a partial refund.
