And one question cmskier what do you think crystal mt owes you,or screwed you out of. A lift ticket that you can sell in their parking lot. As a pass holder your here for all of it the good ,and the rest.Someone with day ticket really can't leave unhappy after paying for one day. thats just the way it is ..we all know it

@ eskinmo- Would you have felt different if instead of heading out for 4 great laps you spent an hour sitting on the chair and then another 1/2 hour for the tingling in your feet to stop? One way or another, I too paid to ski today. A coupon for a free beer would have been good.
As you said, it isn't unexpected that six breaks down. Do we just accept the lottery that every few days 50 people get to spend part of their day stuck on a chair? I've been on 6 many times this year as it stopped for 10 minutes before shutting down for the day. An hour was way too long to not be acknowledged. Luckily, it was a warm sunny morning with great views. A cold windy day could get dangerous.

...i agree with CMSkier...season ticket holders got the shaft...sitting on broken chair 6 for an hour is a fate nobody should have to endure...good thing it wasn't cold/windy...the resort should have offered up a perk...shame on management...

I had a bad experience with CM customer service yesterday myself.

It's not that anyone was 'owed' anything for being stuck, it's just the right thing to do. Why not offer everyone stuck on the chair a voucher? It costs them nothing and benefits them greatly. The problem is that their corporate culture from the top down is not one of making sure every customer is thrilled with their experience there. Too bad.

Years ago I slung drinks at a venerable Seattle institution that was part of a small local company. They had a program called YEGA (always the butt of many employee jokes like, "Yeah, I really YEGA'd that guy!) which stood for Your Enjoyment Guaranteed Always.

What this meant was that every employee was empowered to make the small decisions or concessions to ensure that their guests walked out the door happy if there was any sort of problem. A beer here, a steak there, really very little cost in the grand scheme, but what a marvelous reputation they had. So simple.
