Last Monday lift served ski report for Washington (expect for maybe Memorial day), checked the other ski area web sites…hhhmmmm…looks like all are now partially closed, at least today and during most of the week. Heard the morning report about 4 or so new, was snowing pretty hard all morning, but sadly the last few warm days set up all the slopes, both north and south facing. The new snow this morning was perfect pow smoke, but the hard underneath was pretty firm and it was hard to see the lumps with all the new. Best partial run was PB where I hit some pretty deep pockets. Most of the short day was Valley runs with Lucky and IceFerkbergs mixed in. Gondy was nice and lonely as was most of the mountain, barely filled the A lot (and most of the A lot was not filled with Pay parking folks). Vis was difficult early, but improved. Ended the day with a run out Kellys Gap to check out the slide off Rockface….pretty impressive when you ski through the end of it, guess it opened yesterday, so there are a few more options for the rest of the season. Hopefully some more new, or at least more warm sun for the rest of the week. ddk
