A mixed bag both in the sidecountry and on the main runs. In general the snow they've had since Friday has helped the groomed a lot, but helped the offpiste only in certain places that you had to seek out.
Sidecountry was best when north facing and filled in by the wind, in such spots there was at least a foot of good new snow, a little heavy sure but also quite silky.
But in places that got more sun, and or where didn't have snow blown in, really pretty nasty with frozen underlayer of chunks. This was the case for nearly all the lower part of a Highlands Bowl run.
The sun came out for just a little while around 1PM and instantly spring-ized the snow on the groomed runs of backside, but mostly in a favorable way.
Very quiet for a weekend day never a line. Weather generally quite pleasant, and places just E of pass eg Rock Mtn area were visibly in sun.
Just two more weeks of lift serve at Stevens. The season has gone by fast.
[Edit: and looks like any snow conditions report is now useless history, as they've received a foot of new snow just this morning. Might be calling out for a powder flu sickday, tomorrow or Wednesday eh?]
