Entertaining April Fools day. I was going through ski withdrawal this early morning, and the morning report sounded okay, so up I went. Pretty nice early, donut hole sunny, warm, soft spring snow everywhere from the start. Better than expected grooming on Lucky and IceFerkBerg. Nobody on the mountain…or at least not a lot…took the wrong skis today – shoulda had the fat Coombas – would have made off Piste much more fun. Looked like 4 to 6 new yesterday up high based on the cut up tracks across the front side of REX. Tried a couple of times in GV bowl, but the heavy sticky slow snow was to much for the Crossfries and me. Saw some skiers doing nice turns in PB and also some folks not doing nice turns. Did a couple of runs with Mr and Mrs Ferk – always most enjoyable. Got a couple of solo Gondy rides today – also kinda nice every once in a while. Was good vis while I was up today, except for the light rain showers passing through during the 11 to 12:30 time frame – which got me off the mountain by 1pm. Cold temps with less than a foot of new will make the next few days somewhat challenging off the groomers. ddk
