Crystal - 03/25

Total bonus day. Didn’t expect much, got big blue sunny skies for the first half of the day, 6 new that was a lot deeper in lots of places, light nice snow early that went to nice carveable mush as the day progressed on the sunny slopes, north facing slopes held up perfectly all day. Did a west face line late today and it was deep and light. Great day running with CD, and Ferd late. Did runs out North and some late afternoon runs in the Valley, but most of our day was on HC. Bunch of early morning untracked lines from the chair to the Throne. Mid day had lots of runs out through the gate off the Throne, all untracked and deeper. Only thing better would have been the King…looked really big most of the day with nice sun on it. Great day. ddk

Only the most shaded slopes avoided the sun damage today.  Lucky for us, getting the sunny slopes early delivered excellent boot-top pow.  Avie Basin and Northway peak chutes provided the runs of the day.  It will not be nice tomorrow on sunny aspects without a good dump of new as it was quite heavy and crunchy by afternoon.
